The village of Ses Salines is one of the oldest and most beautiful on the south-east coast of Mallorca. The village's lively bars and restaurants dominate its appearance. It is a typical Mallorcan village that takes its name from the salt mines dating back to Roman times. Salt is still extracted there today. The Talayots, the remains of a prehistoric settlement, are also fascinating. The natural beach of Es Trenc and the many small bays such as Cala Llombards are just a few minutes' drive away. The beautiful, flat landscape is ideal for exploring by bike.
Santanyí - In the southeast of Mallorca
The municipality of Santanyí on Mallorca is located in the traditional region of Migjorn and comprises the towns of Cala d'Or, which is the most populous, Santanyí itself, the capital of the municipality, as well as Alquería Blanca, Calonge, Cala Figuera, Porto Petro, Cala Lombards, Cala Santañí, Cala Llombards, Son Móger, Cap d'es Moro and La Costa.
